After much consideration, we have made the difficult decision not to proceed with the October 2026 From Picture to Page show at Sandown.
This is not a decision that has been made lightly. In fact, it is one we have been reflecting on for quite some time.
For many years, From Picture to Page has been more than just a craft show. It has been a place where creative people could gather, learn new skills, discover products, meet like-minded crafters, and spend time doing something they love. It has been a community built around creativity, connection, and inspiration.
Together, we have shared countless memories. We’ve celebrated new product launches, attended classes, discovered new techniques, supported small businesses, caught up with friends, and perhaps purchased a few more supplies than we originally planned! The joy and enthusiasm that attendees, retailers, and teachers have brought to each event have made all the hard work worthwhile.
However, the events landscape has changed significantly in recent years. Rising venue and operating costs, combined with changes in consumer spending and attendance patterns, have made it increasingly challenging to deliver a show that is both financially sustainable and enjoyable for everyone involved.
As organisers who have always been passionate about creating a positive experience for exhibitors and attendees alike, we have reached the point where continuing with the Sandown event no longer feels like the right path forward. Rather than compromising the quality of the event or taking on increasing financial risk, we believe it is better to step back and close this chapter with gratitude for everything that has been achieved.
While we know this news will be disappointing for many members of our crafting community, we hope you can understand the reasons behind the decision. The craft industry, like many others, continues to evolve, and sometimes difficult choices are necessary.
What remains unchanged is our appreciation for every person who has supported From Picture to Page over the years.
Whether you attended a single show or have been with us since the beginning, your support has meant the world. Every ticket purchased, every class booked, every retailer supported, every project shared on social media, and every encouraging conversation helped create something truly special.
From Picture to Page has always been powered by people who love creating. That passion has filled exhibition halls, classrooms, and make-and-take tables with enthusiasm, laughter, friendship, and inspiration. Those memories will remain long after the final show doors have closed.
To our retailers, crafters, and supporters: thank you. Thank you for your support, your loyalty, your creativity, and your belief in what we were building together.
While the October Sandown show will not go ahead, we are incredibly proud of what From Picture to Page has achieved over the years and grateful to everyone who has been part of the journey.
