In a match made in heaven, Cancer Support Angels is partnering with From Picture to Page Papercraft show to support the Angels Day Christmas Fundraiser.
The Angels Day Christmas Fundraiser supports families hit by cancer to provide them with little breathing room and financial relief at this challenging time of year. This is the fourth year the Cancer Support Angels has collected donations to support their extensive network of families.
“The unique aspect of this fundraiser” says Jodie Hollis, Angels founder, “is that we are calling for gift cards from the major retail outlets, so get those loyalty points working and turn them into gift cards to bring a smile to the faces of families in need.”
Each year the fundraiser supports about 30 families with the $16,000 raised.
This year, passionate crafters are being called to bring their donations to Melbourne’s Sandown Raceway as they attend the ‘From Picture to Page Papercraft Show’ in October.
The three-day expo includes card making, scrapbooking, art journaling and a range of other crafts, with stalls from more than 30 specialty retailers from across the country.
Extending our crafting to help this wonderful charity is an important part of our community, says From Picture to Page creative director Michelle Brown.
“The fantastic thing about papercrafting is that it brings together so many people from different walks of life,” Brown says. “and these days, all of us knows someone who has been affected by cancer. This is a small way we can give back to our community.”
The three-day ‘From Picture to Page and Beyond Papercraft Show‘ runs at Sandown Raceway from Friday October 13 to Sunday October 15. Entry is $18, with multi-day passes available, and admission is free for spouses and children under 16.
