With over 8,000 hours of video watched in 2020 across the From Picture to Page networks, we are excited to announce our newest online venture in video casting – Plan C – Craft Create Connect. Building on the hugely successful year of online craft demonstrations and interviews, each new episode will join you with our hosts to connect with local retailers and special guests, learning more about the crafts they specialise in and the creativity behind their success.
2020 saw From Picture to Page Papercraft shows pivot from in-person retail craftshows to online video, with three series of P2PCraft Presents and online shows in October to replace the Sandown show and again in November as part of the Peninsula craft fair celebrations. Previous guests have included Mary from Craftzone, Sofie with Scrapmatts, Tasmanians based artist Niamh Baly and Rachel Grieg from Darkroom Door, along with international artists Marlene and Eileen Hull
About our hosts
Wendy Steward
Wendy has an extensive background in crafting, she has been a keen papercrafter for over 20 years and has been part of the industry in Australia in various roles.
In the role of Fiskars Ambassador and Demonstrator, Wendy attended many craft shows to demonstrate Fiskars products and has also been on numerous design teams all over Australia, as well as having her work published in a book on Asian Scrapbooking and many magazines, including For Keeps Creative Scrapbooking, Scrapbook Creations and Scrapbooking Memories in Australia.
Wendy travelled to Las Vegas to attend the Scrapbooking Memories Expo and has been to the Creative Adventures Down Under event in Auckland NZ. Wendy has attended numerous workshops, weekend retreats and classes all over Australia and continues to do so to learn new skills to enhance all her creations. Wendy has a dedicated Instagram account just for her Art and all things Art related called Art by Wend.
Wendy is the Founder, creator and owner of Wendy’s Way through which her goal is to inspire, educate, empower and motivate everyone to live their best lives. Wendy’s Way has over 8,500 followers on Facebook plus a very healthy following on Instagram, which take her reach to over 9000 followers on her social media.
In addition to this, Wendy had a hugely successful podcast on The Wellness Couch, called Wendy’s Way where she interviewed people from all walks of life as well as presenting solo shows. Wendy was herself interviewed on many podcasts speaking about her life, interests and her wellness journey.
In 2020 Wendy joined the P2P team as a co-host of our online Sandown and Peninsula shows, a role she relished and enjoyed thoroughly.
While having spent the majority of her career in the Corporate world, she brings all that knowledge and her skills and attributes to the Craft world. Wendy is passionate about promoting papercraft to Crafters world wide.
Michelle Brown
Michele has taken her childhood obsession with craft and coupled it with her engineering and manufacturing background, to venture into the craft industry.
Over 10 years ago Mixed Media Art was launched as a website to showcase the fabulous works of mixed media art, sharing project, techniques and product reviews with a worldwide audience of mixed media artists. This evolved into a retail branch allowing Michelle to share her favourite mixed media products with her crafting friends,
It was during Michelle’s first show at From Picture to Page Pakenham that Michelle met Shirley Dougan, the founder of From Picture to Page and in October 2015, Michelle took over the papercraft show, growing it to be the largest paper crafting show in Victoria, with five in-person shows each year with over 3,500 crafters and hundreds of craft retailers.
